Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Aquila is a tool. It is not a broker, not a financial advisor, not a portfolio manager, and not a signal service. We do not hold your funds and we do not trade your account.
Trading leveraged instruments carries a high risk of loss. Every decision you make with Aquila is your own — read section 3 before you rely on it.
01 What Aquila is
Aquila is desktop trading software. It connects to your existing trading account at a broker that supports the cTrader Open API, and lets you analyse markets, place orders, manage risk, and review your trading.
Aquila is a tool. It is not a broker, not a financial advisor, not a portfolio manager, and not a signal service.
02 What Aquila is not
- We do not hold your funds. Your money stays with your broker. We never take custody of client assets.
- We do not execute trades on your behalf. Every order originates from you or from an automated strategy you chose to run. We do not trade your account.
- We do not provide financial, investment, or trading advice. Nothing produced by Aquila — including charts, indicators, analytics, or AI-generated commentary — is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
- We are not your broker's agent, and we do not act on their behalf.
03 Risk warning
Trading leveraged financial instruments carries a high risk of loss. You can lose more than your initial deposit. Most retail traders lose money.
You are solely responsible for every trading decision you make using Aquila, including:
- Orders you place manually.
- Orders placed by automated strategies you configure, write, or install.
- Trades influenced by any analysis, indicator, backtest result, or AI-generated output shown in Aquila.
Backtest results and historical performance do not predict future results.
04 AI features
Aquila's AI features are advisory only. They cannot and do not place, modify, or cancel orders — this is a hard architectural limit, not a setting.
AI output is interpretation, not fact and not prediction. It may be wrong. It may be confidently wrong. Do not treat it as a trade instruction.
05 Automated strategies and plugins
If you run an automated strategy or install a third-party plugin, you do so at your own risk.
- You are responsible for the behaviour of any strategy you run, whether you wrote it or not.
- Third-party plugins are not created, reviewed, endorsed, or guaranteed by us.
- Aquila sandboxes plugins and routes all strategy orders through its risk checks, but this does not make a badly-written strategy safe. A sandboxed strategy can still lose you money by making bad trades.
06 No warranty
Aquila is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given time, or that market data displayed is accurate, complete, or timely.
Aquila depends on third-party services (your broker, the cTrader Open API, your internet connection). We do not control these and are not responsible for their failures, including outages, latency, disconnections, rejected orders, incorrect prices, or data gaps — any of which may occur precisely when markets are most volatile.
Do not rely on Aquila as your only means of managing open positions. Maintain access to your broker's own platform.
07 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, missed opportunities, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Aquila, whether caused by software defects, connectivity failures, third-party service failures, or your own decisions.
08 Your account and access
You are responsible for keeping your cTrader ID credentials secure. You may revoke Aquila's access to your trading accounts at any time from your cTrader ID settings.
You must not use Aquila for unlawful purposes, to abuse or overload the cTrader Open API, or in breach of your broker's terms or cTrader's terms of use.
09 Changes and termination
We may update the software and these terms. We may discontinue the service. If we discontinue the token exchange service, existing users may continue using Aquila with their own cTrader application credentials.
10 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
